This is a hell of a lot better than what I had at uni. Then again, a guy I know torrented 27 terabytes over the year, so maybe that slowed down the rest of out connections.

Purdue has an awesome filesharing network, I can't remember all the details since I was only on the campus network the first year I was there, but dc++ was the client it used and there were guys on there sharing like 10 tb worth of stuff, among all the other users. I think you had to share a minimum of 5gb to download from others, but the collection of stuff on there combined with the network speed was just ridiculous. Check it out if you get a chance.

6.5GB a day? I want to say that a few years ago they were capped at 60GB a month, but don't quote me on that. Must have bumped it up for Netflix and whatnot.
A group of friends had a WASTE network between a bunch of us at different schools, the friends at Purdue would freak out when someone new would join the network and grab many gigs of stuff from their computers. Always a fun time.
